Dr. Benjamin B. Cooperman is a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine physician, recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS). His clinical expertise reflects a deep and varied background, shaped by extensive training across three distinct medical disciplines: Ophthalmology, Internal Medicine, and Emergency Medicine. This multidisciplinary foundation informs his comprehensive approach to patient care in acute medical settings.
Dr. Cooperman earned his Medical Degree from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in 1992. Following medical school, he completed three rigorous residency programs at respected institutions:
Ophthalmology — George Washington University, Washington, DC
Internal Medicine — Union Memorial Hospital, Baltimore, MD
Emergency Medicine — Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown, NJ
He also undertook additional Internal Medicine training at Washington Hospital Center, Washington, DC.
Dr. Cooperman has maintained continuous medical licensure since 1996. He is licensed to practice medicine in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia.
When not working, Dr. Cooperman enjoys spending time with his two children and going on long walks in nature.
